I know it’s late, but Happy St. Patrick’s Day, everyone.

Yes, I’m eating dinner at 11pm. It’s what you do when you wake up at noon, and then don’t get everything into the slow cooker until 1pm. :p

It’s so fork tender. Don’t even need a knife.

We have till Sunday to celebrate. A friend of mine is doing all you can eat Corned Beef and Cabbage on Sunday at his bar.

I intend to show him that he’s had a bad idea.

The only thing I see missing there are Guinness cookies and Guinness cake.

I dunno - I tend to find Shepherd’s Pie a delight whenever I eat it.

I suppose it’s possible for any dish to come out poorly. Perhaps it comes down to the big issue: authenticity. Was the pie made from genuine, authentic shepherds?

I reason that there are two ways to interpret this challenge.

You plan to eat this friend’s very livelihood out from under him. In which case, I say, well done. This is admirable, both in the amazing amounts of corned beef that you will ingest, and also in the philosophy that you get to razz your friend.

I can also see the bad idea being manifested in the after-effects of all-you-can-eat cabbage. This would, naturally, require you to visit this friend’s home, or maybe sit in his office at work. You may need to purchase a gas mask if you expect to survive the very weapon you plan to deploy. Good luck to you, my friend.
